I wish to highlight the pressing issue of domestic violence in Fiji.

It is a problem that has plagued our society for far too long, and it is time for us to come together as a community to put an end to it.

Domestic violence is a pervasive and insidious issue that affects individuals from all walks of life. It not only causes physical harm, but it also leaves lasting emotional scars on victims.

In Fiji, reports of domestic violence have been on the rise, with women and children being the most vulnerable to this form of abuse.

As a society, we cannot continue to turn a blind eye to this issue.

We must stand up and speak out against domestic violence in all its forms.

It is not enough to simply condemn these acts of violence – we must take action to prevent them from happening in the first place.

One way to combat domestic violence is to raise awareness about the issue and educate people about the resources available to those who are in abusive situations.

Organisations like the Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre and the Fiji Women’s Rights Movement provide support and assistance to victims of domestic violence, and it is essential that we support these organisations in their efforts to end the cycle of abuse.

Furthermore, we must hold perpetrators of domestic violence accountable for their actions.

The laws in Fiji must be strengthened to ensure that those who commit acts of violence are punished accordingly.

Additionally, more resources and support services need to be made available to victims of domestic violence so that they can seek help and escape from abusive situations.

It is time for us to come together as a community and stand united against domestic violence in Fiji.

We cannot continue to let this issue go unchecked. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that everyone in our society is safe and protected from harm.
