Letters: FijiFirst Party (FFP)

The acronym FFP which stood for FijiFirst party became a household name before the 2022 General Election and is again being remembered after the recent parliamentary salary increases.

This time though for very wrong reasons since they voted for the increase.

The acronym FFP now also stands for Flip Flop Party, also known as the Coalition Government for their continuous back flipping on policies which they advocated before the general election.

Just listen to Sashi Singh’s Talking Point (SSTP) with Kamikamica, Hon. Tabuya’s challenge to the ex-PM Bainimarama to donate his salary, but most importantly PM Rabuka’s handling of the Tabuya case, Aseri Radrodro’s yellow card and his own support of the increase in parliamentary pay which he is trying to soften up by saying that there are other administrative processes to be followed.

Confusing indeed.
