Earning Money on Labour Utilisation Meeting Economic Needs Tallied Sustainably (EMOLUMENTS)

Emoluments is paying somebody for the work they have done.

Can the Emoluments Committee clarify what work they’ve achieved for the nation that they consider themselves worthy of such a huge raise? In the pay and allowances already received, how is that insufficient for their presence in carrying out their professional duties?

These people who, at some point in time, claim to be the voice, stand up, and work for the people seem to lose allegiance towards nation-building.

The parliamentary pay rise is not a pack of salt.

You can make claims off the cuff when members themselves are speaking of financial and economic difficulties in carrying out nation-wide development due to the recession, past Government financial mismanagement, etc.

So please try and raise the living standards of the people you all represent before selfishly quenching your own thirst.

These politicians who claim to put Fiji and its people first from day one of advertising themselves until they are elected—may we ask how and when? Is it through self-progress, national regress, or neglect?

Those who support this call openly or silently showcase their choice of selfishness. Double-faced coins are never useful, so the public needs to be aware of their selection in every election.

This act verifies their desire for: Extra Monetary Ownership Legislated Marginalising Economical Needs to Survive, not as stated above.
“Diligently Perform Your Political Duty and Be Paid Economically”!
