Despite adapting to modernisation labelling our nation democratic till date the colonial method and mindset of divisiveness has not changed.
In every arena of service delivery – governmental or non-governmental – this malpractice has been evident.
No matter how much one talks of human rights, unity and equality, this disease created centuries ago hasn’t found its full cure.
Be it via race, religion, age, gender or district from forming organisations, choosing or allocating leadership roles, granting aids, awarding scholarships, convicting or freeing offenders, this element is available in its doses.
This is a fact we cannot camouflage with any polished label.
If this weren’t true, we wouldn’t be facing the major problems of today that are on the high such as corruption, drug abuse, brain drain or labour shortage due to unequal chances, setbacks in performance in all sects of the nation.
Despite legality, law and order we continue to face these disorders so until we accept and rectify the cause we will not gain positive results in the long term.
To seek enhancement, we need combined and full performance.
“There isn’t oneness in divisiveness”!
