Congratulations Fijian Drua!
Progress is being made. It is ‘One small step for the Fijian Drua, one giant leap for Fijian rugby’.
As the Drua begin the journey for the last 240 minutes of rugby in 2024, their overall game and ball retention against the Rebels and win on Saturday outlined the basic structure needed for them to move forward in Super Rugby Pacific’s finals.
We already know, we have the men, the power, size, talent and knowledge of rugby to hold our own against the best in the world.
This next game is no different. Ball retention is of the utmost importance. Get the ball, keep the ball, run the ball and score. Simple. And the concentration will have to be for a full 80 minutes.
Even giants can fall. It will be no easy task, but it can be done. So go out there Fijian Drua and win.
This is not to prove yourselves that you can do it, but to maintain the belief that it can be done!
As the Fijian narrative of the Fijian Drua’s theme song says, “….na i bole ni vanua au cola tu ni kua…”.
Soko Drua Soko!.
