Every day, news in the media surprises me with the volume of drugs seized daily by police.
The massive drugs seized in Nadi was alarming.
And now that we hear of students being caught in school premises is a matter that the Government must address swiftly.
Fiji is a small country and it’s seriously alarming to see this happening.
I believe the law and sentences given to culprits is too lenient; some get discharged easily without conviction and continue to their
criminal engagements.
I suggest Government changes the law – like in Singapore and Malaysia – if found guilty it’s a death penalty.
I firmly believe if we have a law like that believe me things will change overnight.
Just one death penalty and that’s it; no one will want to engage in drugs again.
