A government minister must be beyond reproach and possess an unblemished character. Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection Lynda Tabuya does not appear to possess such a character.
We learn from the Fiji Sun journalist Inoke Rabonu’s investigative reporting and Naisa Koroi’s editorial not only of the nature of the minister’s ministerial transgressions but that “she lied straight-faced” about it to the PM and the media and the nation.
As the Fiji Sun editorial points out her position has become untenable and the PM must do the right thing by the people of Fiji or risk seriously damaging the credibility and public trust of his ruling Coalition Government.
