Is it true that LTA officers are penalising passengers caught on buses without bus cards?
Are they seriously penalising passengers for a failed system?
And isn’t that the most absurd and the most ridiculous thing that they could have ever done to the poor people of Fiji? What is the Minister for Transport thinking?
If there were multiple stations along every road where there is internet access at which the buses could wait while their passengers redeemed their cards, it would then make sense. But not when you can’t get access to this service and poor citizens are charged for it?
And who is to stop anyone from paying for a bus ticket for someone else who is willing to help that person get to and from town or any other destination for that matter?
I mean, if the bus companies want to keep their bus drivers honest then don’t make people suffer for your failed system as well.
You think of your own way to make your drivers honest.
And LTA, please stop penalising the poor people of Fiji! Fix your problem first! Stop fining the people who are already living in poverty! With equally ridiculous fines!
At the end of the day, the people are still giving you your money, even with your failed system! The problem is not theirs!
Well, I never!
