It is absolutely outraging to witness the negligence and lack of support shown by the Fiji FA towards the welfare of its current and former players during times of crisis.
While it is disheartening to see the dedication and sacrifice of players being overlooked, it is downright shameful that the Fiji FA may have failed to establish a fund for injured players and the families of deceased players.
It is just unacceptable that severely injured players and the families of deceased players are left to fend for themselves without any financial assistance when needed the most.
Key note speeches and condolences are just not enough!
The Fiji FA must prioritise the well-being of those who put their bodies on the line for the sport and ensure that funds are set up to provide them with the support they need in times of crisis.
It is a disgrace that even most districts are falling short in providing for these individuals who currently are, or have contributed so much to the sport.
The lack of support is not only a disservice to the players themselves, but also reflects poorly on the integrity and values of the association.
Immediate steps must be taken to rectify this appalling situation and ensure that the players and their families receive the care and support they rightly deserve.
