Surprisingly, the Minister for Finance, Biman Prasad, is explaining the procedures to charter a Fiji Airways plane.
Why isn’t the Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Viliame Gavoka, in his capacity, do the talking instead?
If policies and procedures adopted by Fiji Airways for charter of its aeroplanes and according to Minister Biman Prasad it is robust and transparent, I fail to understand why they allow Viliame Gavoka and co to be given access to a plane charter to Israel last year without fully paying the FD$3 million.
Fijians are being informed that FD$lm is the balance yet to be paid by the Gavoka tour party, which was headed by Ro Teimumu Kepa.
Is Fiji Airways an iTaukei village cooperative business where the “indigenous iTaukei dinau” culture is the norm.
Can our Prime Minister inform the country why is FICAC is taking too long to complete its Gavoka investigation?
And now we await the possible termination of Minister Gavoka by the SODELPA management board if they realistically got the guts to do it.
For me, personally,it will be a day of shame for the SODELPA gang because it will signal the party’s self-destruction and departure from national politics, like the Fiji Labour Party (FLP).
