Letters: Fijian Drua Waters

As the Fijian Drua sail their way to acquiring an inside eighth spot on the Super Rugby table, they will encounter rough seas on their journey.

A squall was encountered two weeks ago in Melbourne, Australia, where particular elements were lined up against them to suppress their explosiveness.

The first half of that game displayed the Drua at its very best as they played very fast, clean rugby.

At half time, the Rebels knew they could not keep the pace and their other teammates in the officiating crew took over and negated their progress to the extent that the Drua ended up with 13 men on the field.

Such is the presence of the Fijian Drua today.

The team’s progress in Super Rugby is so rapid that the powers that be in SANZAR are worried that we have the audacity to push the status quo.

They, by design or otherwise, are doing their best to nullify the Fijian Drua’s progress.

On the open seas on Friday, the Drua will encounter a very powerful Hurricane Wellington.

This team has devastated all in its path, travelling at category 4 and the Drua was made to meet these types of hurricanes on the high seas.

The Fijian Drua in the old days were massive that English sailors in the old days marvelled and were awed by the craftsmanship and speed at which they travelled.

Just like the Fijian Drua today!
We got this. Bring on the Hurricanes. Soko
Drua, soko!
