Can they terminate Viliame Gavoka from SODELPA for gross insubordination in going against the instructions of the party’s management board?
He was clearly instructed to get Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka to facilitate the reinstatement of fellow party member, Aseri Radrodro, as Minister for Education.
Instead, Mr Gavoka was happy to have Mr Radrodro’s former cabinet portfolio added to his, with the extra perks.
Realistically, does the management board have powers?
Or are they merely just a bunch of toothless crocodiles?
By the looks of it, the deputy prime minister is willing to be terminated by the party’s management board and await the 2026 General Election where he will join the People’s Alliance and hopefully, if they win ouright majority, he becomes the country’s next prime minister.
