Apart from enforcing traffic rules, isn’t facilitating traffic flow also the duty of a traffic police officer?
On Saturday, it took me more than two hours to drive two kilometres from Pala’s Service station to the Andrews Primary School junction when drivers were rushing to cross Nadi Town to escape the approaching floods.
The scenario was chaotic by the one-way traffic road since no one could turn around to take alternative routes.
There were also no traffic police for directing traffic and no signages from them or the Fiji Roads Authority warning drivers of heavy traffic flow and advising them to avoid driving through town.
What’s happened to all the traffic police officers in motorbikes?
