The former FijiFirst government tried its best to be on par with the standards Singapore is governed by, but time was not on their side.
We know Singapore has very scarce natural resources and are smaller in size compared to Fiji’s land mass and our abundance of natural resources.
But why is it that Singapore is one of the richest, crime free and cleanest countries in the world?
Some 64 years ago in 1959, their founding Prime Minister, LKW or Lee Kuan Yew, had a dream and ruled with determination, discipline and an iron fist.
Fiji is termed a developing third world country with 50 years of independence where it was badly taken aback with our coups.
Wow, what a world class record achievement for Fiji as a young nation. Let’s hope there will be no more coups, as we now look towards the establishment of the Great Council of Chiefs (GCC) to help steer our country towards stability, peace, harmony, crime free and prosperity for all who call Fiji home.
May the Great Lord Jehovah God guide our Government in its endeavours.
