It’s sad and not of iTaukei nature to eliminate or totally ignore the province of Namosi from our first GCC meeting after a lapse of almost 20 years.
Why penalise them for doing no wrong?
I would like to ask the Minister for iTaukei Affairs and his permanent secretary to find a suitable and eligible candidate(s) from the province of Namosi Province to represent them.
One way of doing it is through the Fiji Corrections Services yellow ribbon initiative, and allow the Turaga Tui Namosi, Ratu Suliano Matanitabua, to be part of the GCC meeting for the duration only.
I am sure Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka and Attorney-General Siromi Turaga can easily approve this and facilitate the chief’s participation.
