In the HSBC Vancouver 7s 3rd pool match against Argentina, Fiji men turned away possession in no less than 4 occasions. These are simple basic we committed, most frustratingly.
Our very first kick off did not go the mandatory 10 meters.
When tackled, we failed to release ball. Captain of the day committed one cardinal sin – he tackled player in the air resulting in Fiji being reduced to 6 men.
What should be done to avoid these annoying basic errors? These shortcomings are just not good enough.
It appears our brains “go to sleep” at critical moments.
At this time of writing, 11:08am Sunday, Feb 25, our men await quarter finals encounter against All Blacks Sevens.
In spite of our disappointing weaknesses, loss of concentration, I pray for “top of the podium” finish in Vancouver.
