In recent days, an individual posing as a “NSW Farmers Recruiting Officer” has made several Facebook posts about agricultural work opportunities in Australia.
The NSW Farmers’ Association does not have any recruitment officers, we are not in the business of directly recruiting workers for farms, and we would not make these offers through social media.
We urge anyone who has been in touch with individuals posing as NSW Farmers Recruitment Officers to immediately contact local authorities in Fiji.
This activity is very concerning, and it is vital it is addressed.
While there were some pathways to agricultural work in NSW and other states in Australia, these are not offered by NSW Farmers’
Association.
