LETTERS: Humanity And Power Play

Be it about equality, rights, abuse – all deal with humanity.

Label it gender, human, women or children all come down to one.

Creating and celebrating awareness on the above needs to be widespread, legalised and activated, and not remain circumstantial and dated.

Or else, the whole concept will remain meaningless.

Calling one sex weak (female) and the other macho (male) and allowing various forms of abuse on the weak is a concept that is stale and needs to be put in the bin.

Forcing oneself onto another, be it physically or sexually, is sheer cruelty and if not dealt with, it will harm every generation of humanity.

Forcing oneself onto another to accept and fulfil your works, be it via shouts, slaps, kicks or sex, leaves a negative effect on one’s mind, health, survival and societal atmosphere.

Abuse – physical/domestic leaves mental stress; sexual/rape leads to STDs and unplanned pregnancies; extra marital affairs lead to break ups.

All these acts of force are a form of power play and selfishness of “me, myself and I”.

Depending on relations – unplanned sex, rape leads to AIDS/HIV caused by accepting illness desiring sex (AIDS) harbouring illforms of viruses (HIV).

Practice safe sex and stop rape to keep every sphere safe.

Violence does not affect an individual alone; it’s a societal problem.

And if not controlled and tamed in its early stages, very much NCDs and STDs will spread enormously, and handling it will become a problem.

It has to be made clear to all concerned that power play can’t and won’t be entertained for one’s personnel and selfish gain.

“Awareness is awarded when activated”! Be it your elder or leader whatever the relation respecting does not mean agreeing to every decision and acts of their wrong!

Be you a girl, younger in age or domesticated, you have the ability and authority to make rightful decisions for oneself is a motto instilled in me by my mother, which sees me through my daily living.
