A wonderful assessment by the mature Jioji Kotobalavu on the SODELPA camp as he dots down how the party can improve its standings in our political climate.
There seems to be disintegration with no sense of control in SODELPA, where members love to make enemies with a lack of self-respect within themselves.
The three-seat king maker tag is leading them astray and has gotten into their power-hungry raw heads. It resulted in the cabinet termination of MP Radrodro.
If found guilty, I won’t be surprised if their party leader Gavoka is next in line for his dirty involvement in the Fiji Airways saga and is now being investigated by FICAC. Let’s see and wait.
I urge Gavoka to apologise to the nation and PM Rabuka before joining MP Radrodro, or is there too much pride to lose?
Interesting outcomes lay ahead as Roko Tui Dreketi Ro Teimumu Kepa awaits her very thin chance for a term in Parliament as she is next in line.
But she vehemently prays silently on the sidelines that time flies so she can replace Ratu Wiliame Katonivere as Fiji’s next President when his term expires this year.
During the Minister for Rural Maritime Development and Disaster Management Sakeasi Ditoka visit to Taveuni last week he was met with a very good question from a Rev Aisake Seru of the Methodist Church.
He asked Mr Ditoka why is there uncountable ill-decipline and the lack of moral behaviour among most Fiji children.
The good Reverend reiterated that discipline in children has deteriorated tremendously in the past years and is a grave concern.
The answer to his concerns are; Deterioration of religious values among the ranks and file, the Church is weak, disorganised and is not doing its job well as supposed to be.
Secondly, specifically the iTaukei Christian parents Fiji wide has got their priorities wrong as opposed to our Indo-Fijian parents as there’s too much emphasis on the ogaoga ni Vanua culture with less emphasis and time invested on their children.
One only has to compare Provincial and Government run Itaukei Schools Fiji wide, indiscipline is rife with low school yearly results and again, Indo-Fijian run schools will always top the ladder when it comes to scholastic exam results.
Can the Fiji Council of Churches find an amicable solution to this indiscipline iTaukei woes, issues or can the Minister of Itaukei Affairs Ifereimi Vasu please team up with the Churches Fiji wide to find an answer.
Or one just have to look across the Seas to Singapore a great rich, clean and well disciplined island nation.
Our Fiji prisons are full of iTaukei Fijians from the three Confederacies or Matanitu e Tolu through ill-discipline, but why?.
